Första covid medicinen som piller kommer

Medicinen heter Molnupiravir och utvecklades egentligen för att behandla influensa. Nu har man testat om den verkar mot covid. Studierna var så lovande att Merck har ansökt om en vilkorad tillåtelse och börjat med produktionen.

Medicinen minskar risken för svåra förlopp och att hamna på sjukhus med 50 %.
